How to verify my phone number?

Please go to Account Management under the Settings tab. Tap “Account Recovery Methods” > “Sign in with phone number” > “Continue”, then follow the steps below.

  1. Select your country from the list, your country code will be automatically filled.
  2. Enter your phone number (Omit the leading 0 before your phone number)
  3. Tap “Next” / Tick icon to request for an authorisation code
  4. Enter the 5-digit code you receive via SMS
  5. Tap “Verify”
Your phone number is now added to your OpusChat account and can be used for account recovery purposes. In addition, you can enable Auto-add Friends for a specific persona. See How to enable Auto-add Friends.

Remarks:
    - Make sure your device is able to receive SMS for the phone number you are trying to verify.
    - Make sure you have filtering messages from unknown senders turned off.
